The name of the game this week has been reassessing. Or at least that’s the case for this weekend. But I kinda figured that’s what would happen once we started back to school full-time. Our first week went pretty well, I think. The kiddos seem to be adjusting to the new schedule. Just in time for me to switch it up, I guess. Haha
But really, a huge part of homeschooling is just figuring out what works for your family and what doesn’t. And that’s going to take some time. We’ll get there!
We celebrated even more birthdays this week with our Grandpa Paul turning 73, cousin Trevor (19), cousin Dean (6), and cousin Emma (8). Whew! That’s a lot of partying! But we love our family and treasure every opportunity to get our party on with them! 😉
We also got to cheer on our beloved Texas A&M Aggies in the first game of the season against Rice on Saturday where they picked up a 52-31 win!!! I’ve been looking forward to the start of college football all summer and it’s finally here!! Whoop!
In other news, I am now almost 6 weeks along in this pregnancy and starting to realize that finding out your pregnant like 5 minutes after you became pregnant is going to make for a very long nine ten months. But I know from previous experiences that at the end of it all, I’ll look back and wonder how we’ve already made it to the end and comment on how quickly it flew by. Crazy how that works, huh?
A little sidenote…..Yes, I am only 5 weeks in this picture even though it would appear as though I’m much further along than that. That first trimester bloat is brutal!
The upcoming week is sure to hold even more excitement as we continue our homeschool journey, soak up the last few moments of summer (hopefully), and enjoy the three day Labor Day weekend with friends and family.
Hope you had a blessed week and that you have an equally wonderful one this time around!
Be well,
Melony
