{shopping results : week of 7/14/13}

I actually shopped this week!!!  Haha!

It took me until Friday afternoon, but I finally managed to get my deal-seeking self to the stores.  I think I did really well, too.  I picked up a couple of unexpected deals and managed to get everything on my “wish list” this week.  As I was heading out the door I asked the husband if there was anything he needed from the store.  His answer – coke.  But I didn’t feel like making a trip to Walmart just for Coke.  So I told him that if the stores had a good deal on Coke, I would bring him some home.  He lucked out!  CVS had a deal on 12-packs this week that ended up making them $3 each which is pretty much exactly what we pay for them at Walmart.  Whew!  Saved from having to go into that dreadful place.  😀

Here’s what I managed to pick up today.shopping trip 07.19.13

All in all, not too bad.  I was happy that my Walgreens had the Butterball Turkey Bacon back in stock allowing me to redeem my raincheck and coupons before they expired!  Free bacon sounds good to me!  🙂

At the end of the day I ending up spending $6.92 out of pocket for everything pictured with $12 in Register Rewards and $8.00 in ECBs heading into next week.  Savings for the day was $102.60 or 94%.  Whoo hoo!!!

I did want to mention that I used $9.50 in Register Rewards and $24 in ECBs that I earned a couple of weeks ago.  Without having those to help me out, my out of pocket expense would have definitely been higher.
